2011 71/365 Getting to know you
So, it seems I've taken to this photography hobby. After 14 months of continuous shooting, I've decided it's time to start learning more, connecting to other photographers, and broadening my horizons. Although, I am aware that I need to be careful not to overwhelm myself right out of it. Baby steps, I love baby steps! This month, I baby stepped into a workshop at a local camera shop and then, a couple of nights ago I attended a Meetup of local photographers - the topic of which was "macros" for which I have a great affinity.
So, good. Great! Moving along. The Meetup was, in particular, an incredible experience. I was on cloud nine the whole ride home. I even stopped to take a photo or two on the way home, just for fun and fooling around. And, then, in the driveway, as I gathered my bags, my camera came out of its and was launched into midair.
Down it came with a crash.
And, that was that.
So, now we are investigating how to go about replacing it. I may even step up to a DSLR.
In the meantime, I'm borrowing Paul's Canon Powershot.
I expect to find that my broken camera opened a door to a new chapter
in this hobby of mine.
